OPS Mini-Singer Audition Info and Materials

Students wishing to audition will need to select one of these six songs and be ready to sing it from memory as a solo as a part of their audition.  Sample and rehearsal (karaoke type) recordings will be given on CD to any Chorus student wishing to audition.  There are also on-line links to these below on this page.

Over the Rainbow

Music Alone Shall Live (Himmel und Erde)

Joyful, Joyful

Somebody's Knockin' at Your Door

Tum Balalaika

The Water is Wide

Students wishing to audition will also need to be able to sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and "Are You Sleeping" as a round, staying in tune and in time acappella at least two times through.

Auditions are held after school at Lewis and Clark Middle School, usually during the first two weeks of May.  Students are taken in to audition 4 at a time on a first come, first served basis.  Parents are not allowed in the audition room.  Results are usually sent out the week after school is out for summer break.
